I have one last ready to ship underbust corset for sale in my Etsy boutique and I JUST marked it down another 20% which brings it to the low price of $80! It's really quite adorable and has lots of charm and was made for a curvy, plus sized body.

It has a 33" waist and all the other details can be found at the corset's listing.

Plumber recomendations?

  • Dec. 28th, 2009 at 9:26 AM
I just got word I need a huge plumbing job done at my rental property.  yeah what a way to start the New Year.  I would like to get 2-3 quotes to get the job done and I was wondering if anyone here had any they would like to tell me about?  I am in the Clairemont Mesa area.  Don't tell me about Bill Howe Plumbing, I have already dealt with them.

I need someone to dig up and replace a mainline.  This will include excavating the yard, pulling a tree, cutting and welding a iron fence.  Big job.

*sigh*

Need some help

  • Dec. 28th, 2009 at 10:18 AM
Has anyone ever bought anything from Cryoflesh?
I've been staring at this skirt forever:
http://cryoflesh.com/shop/neophyte-skirt-p-927.html

I'm a little weirded out by her sizing chart.
My waist is a 29 but my hips are 38, so I'm not sure if the Small will fit me or not.

I think I've heard that the sizing runs big.
So any help you can give would be much appreciated!!
Thanks! :)

Making an semi-corset help

  • Dec. 27th, 2009 at 9:15 PM

I am creating what I call a "semi-corset", but I still hope all your fine corset makers/owners will be able to help me out.  I'm not attempting to make a full corset, however, I am making a corset top to go with the cocktail dress I am making.  I don't want it to do any reductions, I just want it to look nice.  My plan is to use Casa Satin from JoAnns, and line the satin with twill.  I was going to use just a plain cotton lining.  I plan on hitting the hardware store tomorrow for some zip ties for the boning.  I have Vogue Pattern 2810 all ready to go.  But I plan on modifiying it as I don't want a busk.  The only opening will be in the back.  (http://www.voguepatterns.com/item/V2810.htm)  I also do know how to sew, so that's why I have gone this route.

So, my questions are:
1. Will my plan for the Satin with Twill, then plain cotton lining work?
2. Will my modification trow something off?
3. How do I create a modesty panel that will look good?

Thank you for an advice you can offer!

Did you get some extra Christmas money? :)

What're the Must See places/events in San Diego? We're very into art, romance, good restaurants, and fun, fun, fun. We know about the zoo, the museum of contemporary art, and legoland, but we're curious to know what the locals think!

Looking forward to seeing your city!
